Technical SPINDLE ID

    Definitely NOT AA/BB truck : They have 6 backing plate mounting holes/bolts.

    I’d like to see a better picture of the axle stub/backing plate side of it. The very early 1928 Model A’s had a round back spindle, obviously different from the ‘37-‘41.
    Can you post another photo?

    I think the photos are making it look bigger than what it is.If it's physically smaller than a 39 spindle it is early 28 as Fordors says. They are the same in every other respect to the later A spindles so maybe measure the backing plate holes to confirm.

    Registers on a Model A backing plate, should have tried that first!

    EARLY 1928 Model A spindle the E28 or "AR" style. Bob
