Well, from one Bird to another, it looks like a scratch in the negative. When that happens, the spot comes out dark on the print.

Looks like a photo cropping mark (or an alien space ship).

When enlarging the picture a tab says some kind of a 1936 Studebaker. It sort of looks like that but the badges look different to me.
