    Hello folks,
I have a 47 Ford convertible that I'm Street Rodding. Lowered the front end 3" and the rear 2". What size tires and wheels for the front and rear? What offset? I'd like to use a sold wheel (smoothie) with beauty ring and hubcap.
I'd certainly like to fill up the rear wheel well, but need enough room in the front wheel well for turning without rubbing.
    Best Regards,

  2. You're going to have to do some measuring. Perhaps this will help. 07192017.jpg 07192017_0001.jpg

Well we d.on't do "rims" here. That means a 15 or 16 inch wheel if the car has stock running gear Most like 15 for the look you want and on that car 15x7 might be on the wide side with the stock axles.
Guys in the early 50's often swapped to 15 inch wheels to get the "more modern" looking tires rather than running the taller 16 inchers.
