Hot Rods Headlight issues 33 Ford

This just started happening...everything worked just fine until...
When I turn on the headlights the ignition dyes and headlights dont work.
....there is no fuse.
Could the solenoid be shot...looks pretty old.
The car has a new 12 volt electronic ignition and I'm sure this is a 6 volt solenoid...but it worked fine and it still starts the car unless the headlights go on.
What do you think?

Do the headlights work when you turn them on? Does the ignition have to be on for headlights to work? How bad of shape is the wiring?

Too many questions that need to be answered before anyone can guess at the problem.
