Makes you wonder about the title to this thread. Maybe he found out the door was locked.

Hey, that would make ME feel stupid!!

@tred I see you were on the HAMB earlier today. How about an update on this?

From reading his original post, Im thinking he bound up something in the latch when he installed it. If the shims on the striker were causing interference (my first thought), the door would not have closed easily. Of course, some folks' idea of easily may differ from others. Would be cool to bear from the OP, hopefully it was just locked and he got it open without damage.

This is a Jerry Seinfeld thread, it's a whole lot to do about absolute nothing. Seven pages of how to get a door open. People here have built an entire car from parts in less time and fewer pages.

I heard he took the entire car apart, bit by bit with a sawlzall, as the door fell to the ground, rocking back and forth, he could just tell it was mocking him.

He tried to pick it up..."Oh no, Mr. Door, you're going in the scrap pile"...well he still can't get the door up off the pavement.

Good thing, could be a rabbit hole under it now.

Cue up "Go ask Alice" please.

  14. Three months since I last posted, and yep, seeing this thread bumped up still makes me angry.
All the advice and he never seemed to have taken any of it.
