    Interestingly, I used to run a camera crane very similar to the one that is just out of frame to the right. I believe that is a Chapman crane. Chapman camera cranes were built from a US Air Force bomb loaders for B-52s. They chose these vehicles because they will "crab" as all wheels are steerable. The guy on the right in the blue parker could easily be me (it isn't.)

    A very interesting photo showing a lot of technical detail. With the De Dion rear suspension I should recognize the car but I don't. Do you have ID on this one, Rootie?
