Would a Oakland and Pontiac work together? If I had cowl and door

Could this be a 32 Plymouth?

I was at a cruise the other night and this was there and the fellow said it is a 1930 Pontiac. Beautiful stunning lines. Note oval window which I noticed was absent from your model. So I say 1931. 32 had ext. trunk hinges gone. 1931(Winner) and 1929 link also posted. Good luck on your quest.

Also here's a motivated builder taking on such a challenge...
    amazing.

  5. That is a early 1931 Pontiac coupe. The later '31 Pontiac coupes had a different trunk lid that did not extend up to the roof and used inner hinges. The 1929 and 1930 Pontiacs all had oval rear windows and coupes were all three window bodies. 1931 was the first year for the five window body style and the rectangular rear window. It's not a '32 Pontiac as the trunk lid was like the latter 1931's I described above. Oaklands used the same body with exception that they had golf bag doors on the passenger side just in front of the rear fender. Thus, this is definitely a 1931 Pontiac. Here's a pic of mine. 1931 Pontiac Coupe.jpg

Thank you very much for this information. What cowl and doors would work to make it look right thanks

  7. 31 Pontiac/Oakland will be the only pieces that will match the belt line. 32 Pontiac might be close. 31 Chevy and Oldsmobile will fit but will have different belt line moldings.

It looks more like a 29 chevy with the smooth quarters and the square rear window, but pontiac might have shared a lot of parts with the chevy coupe in 29.
