Here's the backside of a MK II wheel cover. I believe you'll find that number of tabs matches the number of gouges on the rims in post #1.
I would also say jeep wheels.. To be more specific 1940 Willys quad.. I have a few that came off the neighbors jeep.
I have a pair, came on the front of a '30 coupe [texas]... they are 15"... don't have the 4 outer slots... has dimples for innie hubcaps... thought they were Lincoln. note the shape of the raised dents between bolt holes... the white rims look to have mercury spaces between the bolt holes... maybe my rims are mercury and his are Lincoln...?
They look like Lincoln wheels to me. Back in the day I would use 1956 Lincoln wheels for the hoops and 1955 Chevy center to make a 6" wide reversed wheel to fit Chevrolet. Both were riveted and had straight offset and not angled like Buick.
