I put money down on this old gasser and was hoping someone here might have actually seen it in person. I'd be shipping the car from out of state and don't want to end up with a sh*tbox. I have only a few photos to judge it by. Anyone know any history of this car? Any input from you guys who know the car would be great thanks!

Thanks man! I'd rather loose my deposit than get stuck with a huge pile

Putting money down on a car is an agreement to purchase, right? why are you asking questions now?

You have potentially screwed up the other sales for the seller could have had if you back out...

If you needed more time to think about it or more info ...the time to do it was BEFORE agreement to buy

Deposits just to hold it dude, no need to get bent out of shape , it's at a car lot not a private sale

Oh ... So you put a hold on it just to kick tires and it's a dealer so that's fine too .. He doesn't have a bussiness to run or pay bills or anything.. Your right my bad... I didn't understand how buying and selling works..

This thread was started on Friday evening,
You could have flown to wherever this is and back by now [and made a decision for yourself and negotiated on the spot]

Well I'm glad you understand how it works now, you're welcome

  11. As with the majority of (60yr) old race cars, you can expect it to have been hacked on, cobbled up, and abused. "Paper thin" fiberglass = weight savings...kinda the whole point when it comes to RACE cars
