Technical '40-'41 / '46-'48 Chevy's

    ...Are these totally different bodies?...will the '40-'41 front sheetmetal fit the '46-'48 body/cowl?...
    I know about the fender extensions on the doors for the '46-'48 bodies, and '40-'41's don't have them, not worried about that...
    I have a decent '47 coupe body with no front clip, and was wondering if I could expand my search for one by looking at '40-'41's if they'll fit...

    The cowl and front door skins are different '42 thru 48 from the '41 models. The remainder of the body is the same.....the cowl is the big deal. You might be able to splice on some '41 cowl sections to use '41 front sheet metal.

    '40 bodies are one year only, not the same as '41.
