ha ha. Actually it's a buddy's shifter. B&M hydrostick. he got a NOS shifter *in the box w/ instructions* at a swap meet a couple of years ago.
judging by the fact that that fits th350s and hydro, i wonder how much finagaling needs to be done to get a regular th shifter on it... at this point, i would buy a genie or lokar if i had to, i jsut want an easy fit, and nice looks... sick of making things work, LOL!!!!

Looks interesting, anyone using one of these ?? I was thinking of borrowing a Hydro stick a mate has and getting one of my more talented mates try to knock up a copy.......... If anyone has one of these on the go let us know.
call up gennie supposedly they can make one for the hydro. i just haven't had the chance to get around to it
My car is not driving yet but I used one of these shifters on my 50 Cadillac hydromatic and it seems like it will work ok. If you notice Cadillac is not on the list. I bought mine without the cheesy rubber boot at Pep boys (I know, I know) for like $50. Oh yeah, it has kind of generic looking linkage and such but that's under the floor.
I run this shifter in my roadster. It's low cost (I think I paid $69) but has a couple drawbacks. Pass on this one if you intend to do any speed shifting with your automatic...no lock outs for ANY of the gears so theoretically you can slam the thing from low right into reverse. Also no neutral safety switch for starting or reverse light switch - so you have to be careful your in park before bumping the starter. On the positive side it does come with a ton of different mounting brackets and linkages. It's not quite as flexible as using a cable shifter but it can be made to fit almost any application with enough cutting and pasting.
