  4. Spent the day driving the roadster on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Nice day and the traffic was light. Already a twinge of fall in the air at the higher altitudes. No pictures, although I did shoot some video. Will post it if I can figure out how to edit it.

    Here's the VID:
This is coming down off the Blue Ridge Parkway at Weaverville...to get some grub.

Finally drilled the holes in my cab, and mounted the spear tire bracket on my 34 pickup.
Doesn't sound like much, but it took me all afternoon, and made me happy.....

Well, we got the truck out from under the tree with no issues, moved it out of the way and set up so I can go back tomorrow and drag it home. Would have brought it back today but I offered to haul one of his big trailers to the shop since I drove my big diesel it was no problem and the ole girl needed to pull something it's been awhile!

  13. My kids decided to set up a lemonade stand with proceeds going to Harvey relief. We live on a slow street but they did raise a little bit that I will match. The irony is while they were running the booth, I was under the house preparing for Irma!

  21. I was off last week. Tinkered with the Ford, it needed a new solenoid on the firewall, an easy job. Back brakes on my OT Malibu. Hit a cruise night both Fridays, cleaned house quite a bit and it looks good now. My boys pitched in. I had a date this past Saturday night with a nice lady, saw her Monday and we went to the beach. Sunday was a party down the block... and back to work today.

I feel like I missed the whole weekend, spent Saturday prepping the trailer (wheel beaarings) , Sunday the car (cleaning) and Monday a longgggg drive from Albuquerque to Dallas for the Mecum auction, time for a payday (I hope). Actually, it's only a 10 hour drive but when the A/C in your truck quits it sure seems longer! Pretty warm here in Texas.
