Can anybody identify the original application of the brake booster sold for power brake conversions? Thanks
I am looking at the 7" booster sold by Speedway. They show them plated when sold with pedals They only offer them by themselves powercoated. I don't need powercoat. I would like to know the original usage so I can go to a local store and buy one. Any small boster ID would be helpful. I have no room! THANKS
they are an aftermarket part not original equipment to anything, last time I looked Ebay was full of them, you may find something similar in a wreckers..........Speedway offer then in single (Part # 91031430) and dual diaphram (Part # 91031432) with a zinc finish and chrome single (Part # 91031450) dual polished stainless (Part # 91031460) and chrome dual (Part # UP71721)
The most commonly used small booster is the Corvette 2 stage years 68-76, for approximately $135. I don't know if they are used in any other vehicle. I am thinking of switching to a Hydravac commonly found on the Astrovan. You need the power steering pump for this. Bob

I found some at Rockauto for less than $100 for a reman, without master cylinder. Can also be purchased with the mc
I used one from an Astrovan. They are not all hydravac. I imagine someone will disagree but my experience with the aftermarket boosters leads me to believe they are worthless
