hey guys, I have been shopping around for a radiator for my 53 with a '71 302 I put in it. Had no radiator so I have been looking around. Why does every one I find have the lower outlet on the driver side? My waterpump outlet is coming out the passenger side. The radiator on US radiator's site for a 302 says passenger upper house, driver lower. Am I missing something?

  3. Are you sure your motor is a '71? Ford used the passenger-side outlet from '66 to '69 on Mustangs, Falcons, Fairlanes and Torinos (and their Mercury equivalents) with 289, 302, and 351 motors. So finding a radiator shouldn't be all that difficult. If you want extra cooling, get a 351/AC version.

Well this 302 was in a '71 bronco. The engine codes date it to a '71. Maybe older replacement waterpump?

I put a 1975 302 in my '50 F-1 pickup-had the same problem. I bought a early '65-66 Mustang radiator off ebay. I found a remanufactured 3 core radiator for a straight six motor-had the right outlets. always kept the 302 cool. alex

Check the late 70's f150 radiator. It's what I used in my 56 with 302
