Good thing you're keeping an eye on me ! Between the crowd and the auctioneer's voice it was hard to follow what was going on. That guy sounded like he gargled with roofing nails and gasoline!

I was going to go just to have a look around, I figured much more to see than was posted on CL. I was interested in the box and pan brake myself if anything. Wife's birthday was Saturday so I did the wrong thing and stayed away from there lol.

I figured prices would go high. So much in one place, big crowd. Glad some of you got stuff though.

I see the 49 Ford 4 door turned convertible is on CL for $750.

Anyone see what the 50 with the straight axle and radiused wheel went for ?

Great Story about a very interesting person.
Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine seem to have many people who loved cars and collected cars and parts.

I just got back to Florida from R.I. and there was one guy who owned a ton of cars and parts but did not want to sell anything! His property covered many acres of land just off Route #95 in West Greenwich, R.I.

  16. Mikel50 I bought the banjo wheels. You didn't miss out. TheFord banjo wheel has a split hub and was beat on pretty good for removal. The other one has electrical taped all around the outer edge.I'd be glad to sell them to you for what I paid. LOL

    Pete-
That body went with a line of old Chevy stuff ( pretty banged up) DSCN3462.JPG - I can't remember the exact price, but not a lot as I recall. A friend of Robert Palmers, Mark Williams ( aka " The Old Tin Dealer") from upstate NY bought it all.

I've heard stories of him and his property. There is a story online with lots of pictures of his cars (some very rare) muscle cars.
    Some people are very interesting.

$525 ...And it's in the hands of a good welder being put back together. He will use metal rods and tube instead of wood. Got bid up by a "gonna make a rodent rod" but I can only stuff so much cash in my coffin :(.

That looks great- I looked at that a bunch of times. Glad it went to the right person who saw POTENTIAL written all over it! Thanks for the update.

Pretty cool to see the rebirth of parts that most would send to the scrapper

  29. Leon would smile seeing that going down the road.
