Laidley is a small country town about an hours drive west from Brisbane. Like a lot of these towns it needs to have events to help the local economy and survival for the businesses. We decided to do this because my wife likes garage sales and that was the "clutter" part of the title. Unfortunately her dreams did not materialize and the garage sales and boot sale were a bit disappointing. On the Saturday they close the main street and the cars are displayed there and into a side street. So the turnout was average with a few hot rods and a lot of classics some not for here. On Sunday they have another car show in the supermarket parking lot and not as big as Saturday but some new cars turned up for the day. My photos include a few Aussie classics including our early Holden utes, Mainline utes(Customline) and an early Holden. Saturday night in the bars made us realize that we were only an hours drive from banjos strumming Deliverance style. We did have fun with the locals. Anyway enjoy the pictures in no particular order.
Last lot. Kudos to the couple who own the Eagle Rock Cafe which is a 50's style diner. They put in a great effort to stage this event. And he just bought a Hudson!!
