Anyone know where I might be able to get the original screws that hold the spark plug wire covers on a mid 50's Dodge Hemi motor. E-mail me @ [email protected] or Message me here on the HAMB.
Those covers are the first thing to go on my Hemi's but I will keep this thread marked to tell people that buy mine where they can get them. I never paid that much attention but I thought they are just countersunk pan head machine screws. I would think any good hardware store would have them.
they have a unusually fine thread. its not a normal thread. with the extra fine thread its much easier to lash the valves.
I think that you are thinking of rocker arm adjusting screws. The OP is looking for the screws that hold the spark plug wire/boot/tube covers don onto the valve covers.
Thats where i got mine...the even have the matching star lock washers. Not exactly the same but close Sent from my SM-N920R4 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
If your anywhere near San Diego... Marshalls Hardware is AMAZING! I have found virtually every lost fastener that I have needed there... Sent from my XT1585 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Sure look a lot like Model A Ford dash rail screws, I'll check the threads on the ones I have. OK, Snyders sells them, part number is #20 1930-31 dashboard screws. I checked them with my 354 and they fit fine even if they are a bit shorter than the stock screws. Bob
You guys make it harder than it should be. I found the exact screws in stainless for my Desoto hemi at either Home Depot or Lowes. A lot cheaper than the people who advertise them are asking.
