My uncle Tanner Barton passed away on April 4. We had his funeral on Saturday the 15th. Tanner was on the HAMB as "BudHR" For Bud's Hot Rods of Arizona. My uncle Tanner was the reason so many of his nephews like myself got into hot rodding. Tanner was a Mesa Firefighter Engineer and was a home built / backyard built hot rodder who won awards at the Oakland Roadster Show, World of Wheels and others-- back when he was going up against the big boys from pro shops. Born in 1953 in SLC , Utah he passed away in Apache Junction, AZ. Many people in the Arizona Hot Rod scene knew Tanner and I have attached some pictures of all the cars he built and of his life. Rest in Peace Tanner, you left a legacy behind.......
Condolences to you and your family on the passing of your Uncle Tanner. Thanks HHR for sharing his legacy. Regards, Stogy
Knew Tanner well when I lived in Phoenix. Built quite a few very nice cars. Sorry to hear this. Condolences to you and family. Ron
Oh man, sorry to hear that. Hell of a nice guy. Meet him twice when he picked up the parts I sold you. Please accept my condolences.
My condolences. Looks like he had a great career in both Hot Rodding and Firfighting. Great looking cars!
Sorry for you and your Family. Looks like he lived life to the fullest and left his mark on many of you
Condolences to you and your family,I looks like the man had a passion for building hot rods and as I was growing up I remember seeing the styles of cars he was building. On a side note it appears he served the community as a fireman and it seems that he like many other men in his profession his time away from the hectic work was the simple pleasure of building hot rods. I have only now come across this post. I am surprised and sorry to read it. I bought a panel van from him back in 2010 and he was a real gentleman to deal with. RIP
