Not much to update theses days, just doing a little bodywork on the firewall just to try my hand at it. Hope to get the body to the painter's by mid January the I'll disassemble the chassis for paint and powder coating. [IMG][IMG][IMG]

I have just been through your thread again - what a joy to watch the understated thoughtfulness unfold. And again, stunning workmanship! What a beautiful car.

Update. Got the firewall painted after doing the body work. First it was the mud work ,sand, filler primer, sand, epoxy primer, sand, and the Eastwood 2k rat rod black that's got a 10% gloss. Didn't turn out too bad for spray bombed.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]http://www.jalopyjournal.com/mobile-gallery/a92c4c7be21f175cdef9edba7adc729b.jpg[/IMG

After the firewall was done I sprayed the side with slightly thinned Rustoleum paint.[IMG]http://www.jalopyjournal.com/mobile-gallery/f16e4d467fe68ca12c78fc65ebfba060.jpg[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Nothing very exciting to report on. Recently me and my son Kyle disassembled the chassis after taking the body to the painters. Prepped all the pieces for powder coating and got them back looking good. Getting the frame ready to go to powder coat next week, then I'll get to reassemble to a rolling chassis. That part will bee fun.

Got all my chassis parts back from the powder coater. I'm pleased with how everything turned out, not going for flawless on this Hotrod. Looking forward to the assembly process.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

I love the finish on the chassis and parts. What color is the body going to be? Shiny black or powder coated? My friend powder coated his deuce body and left it that way.

With that level of work it's almost a shame to put a body on it.

  26. Are running the Buick drum covers up front ??

Looks amazing by the way, lots of neat details that I will be "borrowing" on my chassis.

EXCELLENT WORK!!! You are very talented and patient , would of loved to see a high end flatty build in that chassis instead of the SBC, no worries , next one !
