    Since preparations are already under way by many of the up coming Bonneville racers for the hot, August runs, I remember I drew something specifically for racing at Bonneville many years ago.
    One day, I was looking at a Bonneville race car and decided that a v4 cylinder (v8 cut in half) motor with a 671 in a mid-engine drive, streamlined, VW bug would blow minds when it would turn 200 mph in a single run to join the exclusive club. The name VRON is a take off on the Disney movie from this time, TRON. (an old de-bugging command in BASIC. Short for "TRace ON) This time, it was VRON, Volkswagen Race ON. And, it certainly would…

    Inspired by a photo of a guy's ride on another board. He posted a picture of it on jackstands with the wheels all off of it and gasser went through my head and needed to come out. He seemed to enjoy it. :)

    A friends kid asked me to build him a Pinewood Derby racer to race and I think I went a bit overkill. Although illegal to race -- it did generate a lot of dreamy eyes amongst the other kids. Although it is probably anti-HAMB given being made from solid aluminum, it goes have some cool Moon disks on it (Ryan's recent thread) and it is artwork...
