  1. Geo. B would be proud of the location choice! Should be a terrific feature. Congrats Mark.

  2. Mark, as I as going through the old show photos on Rik's page (looking for the HOPCAT Buick) I came across these two. Didn't know if you had seen these. (From Scott Pavey's 1980's Photos)

I'm going to hazard a guess that Rod Rice did NOT own the car at that time?o_O

  5. Congrats, there Mark. Deserving car for more magazine coverage!
Gotta say, those flames didn't help. Wrong effect on a custom like The Astorion.

@Moriarity serious deja vu here, I swear I saw a striper doing the lettering on the cove over the sidepipe - but it would have been at a KKOA meet in Des Moines, in the early '80s - did this happen or am I hallucinating?

That was striped by rotten Ron at the Kkoa leadsled show in Des Moines in 82 for Rodney Rice

Ok, so it did happen, thanks for the reply! Glad to know I still maintain a slight grip on reality.

  14. It's a funny contrast on how similar the front ends are on the two 55's but yet how the rear ends are on totally different spectrums.

  18. Last for the season Mark? Or are you losing the place to modernity?

Must be nice to be able to have your own car shows whenever you want.

Always in awe at the variety of the customs you've acquired.

Heard from Chadly that the next issue of traditional rod and kulture will have the feature of the Astorian in it
