Folks Of Interest Stolen '39 Willys, BC, Canada

I think the reason these cars are never seen is because they are shipped overseas. Here in SOCAL they find cars in those containers ready to go more than you think. Makes them hard to find if you can't see them. Just a thought.

The car was spotted in Kimberly, BC a few days ago and in Lethbridge Alberta today

 

Let me just say, that I hope the owner of this vehicle gets it back and in one piece. As for the rat bastards who took it, well, there's a special place in hell for guys who steal things that don't belong to them. Eyes open on the west coast.

Spex..........Grandson on facebook said seen in Kimberley a few days ago and the bro in law on the Vancouver hot rod facebook page said seen in Lethbridge today...........beyond that ???

 

wow that is a pleasant surprise, considering most of us figured it was probably already halfway across the Pacific. Sounds like it might possibly end up being recovered??

 

I understand that the sighting in Lethbridge, Alberta was a false report. Anybody got a real update on the situation?

 

Steve...granddaughter says black pickup with open trailer and car on it spotted in Kimberley about 5 days ago.

 

Keith - let's hope the RCMP close in on this one fast and get that Willys back to the owner.

I have b'fast with the car's owner on the occasional Saturday morning...Pete put 15 years & his heart and soul into the build. As you can imagine he's devastated.... thieving Bastages.

 

If it was on the back of a truck, then it's on video on a camera somewhere.
Gas station
Traffic cam
Dash cam
Someone has it on tape if it's been moved around in the open.

 

Just a bump, let's keep this high on the list and get this guy his car back.

 

That says that the thief had a pretty good idea that it wasn't going to be missed until later. Either insider knowledge to the owner's (sorry I didn't stop to backtrack and find is name) time schedule or figuring he cold pull a few miles off the main highways and not be spotted. Expedia says there are a number of motels there and the map says it isn't that many miles off the main east-west

 

It seems to be moving west-east, not towards some port, a good sign for sure. Is anyone around the area that can head it off or keep eyes on the road?

 

Man this is exciting!! Hope they corner the rats who have it...

 

The thieving Bastages must have had some insider knowledge...Pete and his wife were in Mexico at the time.

 

Many people nowadays feel the need to Facebook everything they do anymore that it would be pretty easy for this sort of thing to happen.
Not saying this is the case here, but this should be a lesson for all of us here.
Crossing my fingers this has a happy ending.
