    Tommy Mills, our beloved TOMMY here on the HAMB, passed away early this morning. Tommy had been having some health issues and had been living in an assisted living facility. He suffered a stroke 2 days ago. There will be a service for him probably in February due to his one son being in the armed services and unable to attend till then. Tommy is survived by 2 sons. I will let you all know when the service time is nailed down.

  5. We have lost yet another elder statesman on the Hamb,Tommy was always quick to offer a answer to any question.

    Tommy has been away from the Hamb a while but like so many members that have preceded him,his informative post survive will continue to inspire hambers in the future.

    Funny thing about the HAMB, once your on here awhile you get to know people. Might not of ever met them in person but thru their threads and posts you get to know them and their personality's, certain ones get to be your "friends" so to speak. Never met Tommy but enjoyed his presence here, I feel like I've lost another friend today.
    Like Hotrodprimer said, we've been losing too many of our elders here lately. RIP Tommy.

  14. RIP:(
    Tommy took me under his wing-- hooking me up with all the local DC area hot rodders at the first Jalopy Rama in '04.

    I was thinking of him just the other day, he was a great guy and we'll miss him. I imagine him and Larry are talking shit as we speak.

  21. Sad day. Cool thing about the HAMB is the archive. His knowledge is still here. True for C9, 3WLarry and all the others.

    This is a sad part of life. The only thing that we can all be assured of is that we will all have our turn at it.
    We can remember our friends and learn from what they contributed to make the world a better place.
    Rip and enjoy the heavenly rod shop.

    One of the best AND earliest HAMB member I believe. I always lusted over his HAMB license plate topper. RIP TOMMY.......................................
    A post by Tommy about the topper;
    "I paid 300 bucks for this when I bought it to benefit the HAMB. It won't be for sale while I'm alive so you all can eat your hearts out. When they toss my ashes in a junk yard you all can fight over it.:D"
