Need help: what adapter do I need to hang a S-10 T-5 behind a mild SBC 350?
I have a couple of the old '55-7 cast iron bells but none of my three T-5's inputshaft will reach the pilot bearing with them. (See my post from a couple years ago -- and yes I'm that slow!)
I know someone out there knows -- maybe everyone but me -- and can help. Thanks a lot.

I don't know what bell housing you are using, but here are a couple of pics of installing an S10 5sp with an early bell housing.. I had to trim 3/8" off the end of the input shaft and some off the collar but everything work well together... I also had to lengthen the splines using a die grinder with a cut-off wheel....**clic pic for larger image** T5 install 002.JPG T5 install 003.JPG T5 install 007.JPG T5 install 009.JPG

When I put mine together instead of working on the splines I found a spacer that is 5/8 thick that fits between the bell and trans. The company I bought it from was called vintage metalworks.
