The bearing is stamped with "New Departure 3720".
    The measurents are: 2 1/16 x 3 43/64

Can anybody help me with where i could by a bearing like that?

I would try a bearing distributor. There is usually at least one in any larger town. You have the number

You don't even need a number!
They can measure and cross reference to get a match.
The two local shops I go to have several digital calipers etc sitting on the counter ready to go. The guys and girls there seem to really know their stuff too!

Seems lately that car manufacturers add a little oddball difference here and there to their bearings and such to require you to buy from them direct ($$$), as generic bearings won't fit...but I doubt that will be a problem with older stuff.

That number is for the outer cone only, the inner race will have a different number.
I think the inner races can come with more than one inside diameter, so different part numbers.

The New Departure number should transfer over to SFK or another brand the 3720 as others said earlier is just the cup/race and you need to have the cone off to get the number off that.

A local to you bearing shop will have an interchange book that will cross the numbers over or they can get out the micrometers and calipers and do it the old fashioned

Thx for all the replies guys! No luck so far though.
I should clarify that it is the inner bearing cone that is stamped with 3720.
The original GM part number is 903720, don't know if that helps or not.

The problem i've got is that there is a bearing cup with the same number 3720,as posted above.
Several companies like nsk and skf have a cup named 3720. I'm looking for an inner bearing cone with the same number.

Wow, thank you thorpe31! That will work, even though it is a bit wider then the factory bearing.
The thing that put me off was that as mentioned earlier it was the inner bearing cone that had the number 3720.
