Hi all, has anyone lowered the front bumper on a Chevy 3100 truck ? If so how and how much? Any pictures would help greatly. Cheers, Ron.
No, I'm lowering the whole truck keeping the original frame and suspension and have heard that lowering the bumper a touch helps with the look. Cheers, Ron.
Have you considered tucking the bumper closer to the body and modifying or eliminating the gravel guard?
The front bumper is already about 2" lower than the front fenders stock, we usually have clearance issues when we slam them because the bumper is so low. Sent from my XT1585 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Thanks for your replies, the bumper is staying where it is, the truck is going as low as I can get it on the stock frame. Job done. Cheers, Ron.
Ron, don't get discouraged. You get a lot of good advice and "straight talk" on the HAMB. Ask away, mate. Sent from my SM-T377V using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
As a fellow 3100 owner the bumper looks fine in the stock location when you lower it, on my truck I've got a 79 Camaro clip and with the front being so low all my grandpa did was trim it so it wouldn't drag or scraping going in an out drive ways
Thanks saltflats, that's a super fine looking truck, same colour as mine too. The original panel is out of shape so that seems to be the way to go, does look neater. Cheers, Ron.
