  5. I did see a photo of this car running at Atco that a photo dealer had. He wouldn't sell me the photo at the time as he didn't have copies. That photo showed greater detail, which is why I think it is possibly my car. The car also came from Wilmington Delaware, which is also where my car was from. I was never able to get a copy of that photo as he sold his whole collection. I've been trying to trace the history of my car for many years. It would be nice to know.

  6. Thanks for responding. With your info regarding the Shallcross brothers, I was able to find a video of the car racing back in the day. Every little bit helps. I will try to contact the brothers. Hopefully they are still around.

You are certainly welcome. At this point I feel that you own the ex Shallcross Brothers coupe. That was one quick and good looking car. Glad I could help!

Thinking that the bashed in fuel tank shown in the pic and the power plant were the only things that survived Jim going through the lights backwards at Woodburn in the family FED due to a blown tire and were transferred to the truck. Can't remember if the tire manufacturer was Goodyear or Firestone but I do recall him winning a lawsuit. The little fart probably tried to blame his half crossed eyes on the wreck to the judge as well. He and my dad were buddies back in the day

  19. Rutt's Hut is a great place! Like going back fifty years in time. We were there last night, sitting in the parking lot. Gonna need a portable heater soon!

Saw "Safeway Sandblsating" coupes run at the 'beach' many times. It amazed me how these guys could keep a '3-main' engine alive at this level.
