I would swear I have seen this piece in other forums for a lot of years. Sorry to hear nothing has progressed as it does have bit of PIZAZZ which is unusual for many abandoned projects.

It's back under tarps. That will have to do for a while. Thanks for asking.

    Did someone say Custom Stude?
This car was orphaned in Oregon a few years back, and while I believe the '53-54 C/K bodies remains one of the most beautiful stock bodied cars built, When I saw this treatment, the quality of the bodywork blew me away, and it deserves to be finished!
For some reason I don't have any good pictures of the front, but it's Beeautiful. Took the original styling and pushed it, just enough. I'm toying with the idea of a GT Hawk roof, chopped, and a '65 T'bird Interior.
Gene's already dialed in to paint it.

Great looking Stude custom. Hope to see more.
I don't know about the Hawk roof swap. I always thought they were a bit angular for the swoopy Stude .
BTW, your Avatar car is absolutely stunning!

Still waiting for my prize,LOL. Is it still on the ground? I sure hope not. I truly do understand the no room and the I will get to it but really it needs to be finished.
    P.S.
Standing in line with my hand raised, "I will do it" :)

    Wow! Surprised for the bump!
There has been so much encouragement on this thread. Thanks to all! It is really heartwarming.
I have been swamped trying to keep my 110 year old house standing, when it's hard enough keeping myself standing!:D
I would not let my father work on the roof when he was my age (his property at that time), and now I'm up there myself!

cosmic12, thanks for the reminder. I will keep you in mind. ;)

You must really like old cars,
I had a friend like that, had old cars all over his property,
VERY DESIRABLE CARS, 35 Ford coupe, 36 Ford coupe,39 Ford convert,40 Ford convert, 40 merc convert, 46 Ford short door coupe, 53 Ford, 47 Lincoln coupe.47 Olds, 64 Ford Galaxie, 50 Chevy coupe.

gonna get "to em someday" Professed to really like cars, sadly they all rusted into the ground. Makes me wonder: Did he really like cars, or enjoyed: "I got em, and you want em..":p

  12. Sadly, there are lots of guys out there like that. And lots of nice cars rot to the ground because of them.

wouldn't be bad if they were where people couldn't see 'em and lust.
Now the widow is trying to figure, are they worth what he told her, or are they Junk.

kids are saying, it was Dad's junk, get rid of it.. and sadly they are correct..

Sure like to see that "chopper" at Bonneville !!!

Just seeing this thread for the first time.... damn that car has some serious cool potential in it! PLEASE don't let it rust another 30 years, it should be on the road breaking necks!
