I have a just found another set of Hilborn Injectors for a 331 Cadillac (part number C-331) and I was wondering if anyone had any info on them or had any pictures of cars that had them? I spoke to Hilborn and they told me only a handful were ever made! Ill try and pictures up this week. any help appriciated! Dean http://www.DicEmagazine.com
Here's a set I took a picture this past September at Sunset Drag Strip near Mercer, PA. He's had this car since the 50's and just got it back together after it burned in a garage fire. I'm not sure of the year or size of the Cad motor.
Oh man it has a vertx mag too! how did that thing run? I just saw on the castings of these injectors it says 'Patent pending' which leads me believe they might be prototypes? does anyone have other injectors with this cast into them? Dean
Whao..........I love a Caddy, especially an injected one. There was once a guy named Gene Brown from CC Texas that ran a rail with an injected caddy on nitro. It was the baddest ass car in South Texas for years. Now this was back in 54 or 55. I loved that car. You are one lucky dude to find that set up.
Here's another picture his car coming out of the water box. I think this might have been his first time out since getting it back together. I know he was spending a lot of time working on the car in the pits.
I think the pics he posted above are of that car (injected caddy motor pic). Please keep us posted on your progress kid rocker. I love me some caddys! I've been sorta collecting caddy intakes but have never come across fuel injection for one. Damn that's gonna be sweet! JOYO
Let me know if you are ever looking to trade or sell these babies. I dig em (and, yes, they are rare.) -scott noteboom
