Thats actually not the car I was thinking of, theres another red one, closer to the subject car of this thread, 16" pie-crusts on americans on the back, 12-spokes on the front, shorter wb, full hieght windshield, and a sbc with an Edelbrock XC-8 ram log. I've looked for it a couple times, keep coming up empty. I know its in Hot Rod, circa '65/'66. That issue is probably mis-filed in with PHR or Car Craft or something...

Giving this a much needed bump for another Orange T_

 

I just finally got my body home last Saturday, mine might be having a change in direction, we'll see. It might change from ram-log dual afb 289 ford to Hilborn injected 331 chevy if a deal comes together.

 

I think this engine gets a pass for adapting valve covers. Unlike someone trying to mislead...I'd say it was likely done to allow easy removal for valve setting compared to trying to snake an extension down past the log-ram.
