Hi America! little news.. My old hubcaps homemade does not please me any more.. the design does not emphasize the reliefs of the wheel ! (too flat) I thought has several of the solutions .. Manufacturing it resin polyester: Shannon cones style! But the result does not please me! With dummy spotlight bullet ... It's better... but.. It's final solution!! AND my news license plate! Us/Europeen style! :
Holy cow! Most guys ain´t putting that much effort in a whole build! Great work on the plates and I really love the center caps! Awesome!
I'm an American retired soldier living in Germany. I've always appreciated old cars especially rare ones. I believe in standing out. I've been looking for a ride to fabricate here in Europe, it's not as easy as it sounds. Rules are a lot different here. I've searched high and low. And finally came across this. 1953 Vedette that was used as a tow car. It's mostly all there except for the engine it was trashed. I'm going to be working on it while I'm here in Germany. I'll be hitting up Veterama next month to look for parts.

I`m always amazed to see so much done by our fellow Hamb friends in Europe with limited resources and strict rules, well done!
How did you get your caps plated? Is it really metal, or some kind of paint process? They look really great.
