Looks nice and solid. When you said it needs brake work, it made me think about a guy who sold a car needing brake work and advertized: "Runs great. No stopping it!"
Which engine does it have? Ford had 85 HP V8 and 6 cylinder options in '41. They also put 4 cylinder 9N tractor engines in some pickups and panels, don't know if they offered it in sedan deliveries. Guy at White GA has a '41 sedan delivery with 6 cylinder that was sold new in Cartersville GA.
Cool piece and patina, Would have been nice if it had been used in a different line of business but it is what it is, still cool.
Awesome !! Lot's of so called Patina around today.....most of it just plain rust..but now this one is genuine Patina in my mind.. Don't paint it !! And good for you.
....could ad SHOP UNIFORMS under laundry to make it a little more manly ....or change the LA to FO and make it FOUNDRY but that would maybe make it lose a little much Evidently there is a foundry in auburn Indiana but.....??? ............just thinkin out loud here
Ford did offer the 1941 sedan delivery with a 4 cylinder but I have only seen one behind a machine shop in Portland and it had the gas filler on the passenger side/where was my camera??
What I call rust (real rust) is pits and holes and the non existence of metal, so yes, thats only patina to me. Its a given that it needs to be cleaned up a bit if one wanted to leave a nice patina but never the less.....
His plan is to leave as is. Do the inside and get all the gauges working. Stock V8 Flattie in the engine bay Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
That is quite the score! Got to ask. Is the super rare 41 delivery only waterfall trim still on the hood?
