Man, those are kind of an oddly proportioned car but when they're done right, wow.

Yup, Tom is who I'm talking about. He's a cool dude, I met him on the Power Tour probably 15 years ago. I hadn't seen his Poncho tho.

Here's Tom's current rides-behind the nicely chopped Chevy-he's half owner on the '59 flattop and owner of the '61...and to keep this photo in this thread, that's a nice '52 Chevy hardtop, reportedly just bought out of Cali, now living in the Springs... IMG_3522.JPG

Tom found the '61 Pontiac convertible locally...it's actually in good shape (no rust) but needs total resto...didn't shoot any pix of it tho...

Not sure if this is kustom enough or not.

A couple more of that 52 Chevy - I was thrilled to see it turn up in Colorado.

Very cool picture Mick. I never noticed the 395 mile marker sign in their parking lot before.

  15. That's a great shot Mick. Where is that diner? It looks like a Gunther Toody's diner. We had about a dozen of them here in the Denver area, but they have closed quite a few of them.

This picture should be blown up and framed. I'm sure a lot of guys would hang this in their living room. If mama objected, it would also look great in a garage or mancave! E

Kurt McCormic (who coincidentally also owns the Pisano/Ogden Buick directly above, and many other historic customs).

Kurt was heavily involved in getting Pebble Beach to open up to include historic customs, back in 1997. As I understand it, when the Caddy was done he submitted it for entry, but it was denied entry for its "lack of pedigree".

  24. I am sure that Chevy was built by a member on here and he did a build thread on it but for the life of me I cannot remember his handle. And yes he was in California.

Edit: It was badluck on here and he had a couple of build threads.
