this was the 30th annual and I have only missed one... had to call in sick!! who gets sick in August? well I made it to this one and took a few pics.

I tell you one thing, it was much easier to walk around the first ones 30 years ago than it is now. it is as if the Pleasanton Fairgrounds is all up hill when it used to be flat..

if I had the money to put together an early 30's Ford it would look a heck of a lot like this. love that orange...

this is 5 pictures patched together. people were swarming all over this car. the guy in the black shirt and hat is probably still standing there....

EDIT: I just looked at the photo again and you can still see the brim of the guys hat that I cut out of the picture. he was standing behind the guy in the black shirt. woops.

Great stuff! ... Thanks for posting!

    On a side-note:

I picked this car to receive my father's memorial award (i.e., the "Deuce Bruce Olson Memorial Award"):

This bitchin' Deuce 3wd is owned and was built by Bret Sukert of Montesano, Washington.

    NOTEs:
    • Bret purchased the '32 Henry body from the late Dick Page.
    • Bodywork & Paint was handled by Jim Ford & Jason Hill at "Larry Foss Hot Rods" in Montesano.
    • Upholstery (interior, running boards, & roof insert) by "Stiches".
    • Pinstriping by Mitch Kim.
    • Stewart Warner "Blue Face" gauges.
    • (NOS) Grant white steering wheel.
    • HaDees heater.

Every now and then you run across a creation that you just have to be with for a while and look at it and you almost hate to leave it cause its so magnificent. I think I have been that guy in the black shirt before:D and probably would have been standing beside him or near also if I had been there and saw that one.
Thanks for putting that shot together so we could see it:cool:

All great shots, Keep this up and you may get a sticky:D

  29. NOTE: This Deuce roadster is the latest from @cole Foster and his Salinas Boys shop (i.e., finished for a client in Minnesota).

It walked away with the legendary "Stroker McGurk Award" (arguably the most prestigious "perpetual trophy" award to be given out at any Goodguys event):

    3230_WCN_16.jpg
The late Tom Medley’s son Gary (@gtmedley) picked the hiboy
... and presented the award to Cole and his girlfriend Michelle.
