Event Coverage **HAMB Drags 2016 - FINALLY an 11-SECOND PASS!**

My good friend @jho and I have both been chasing 11-second passes at the HAMB Drags for the past few years. We've both run low 12s, just never crossed the 11.99 mark.

This year all I wanted was for one or both of us to make it happen and it finally did! I've never had very good 60-foot times, as I worry the stock, non-world class T5 I'm running might bite the dust.

A 1.66 60-foot time and successfully grabbing each gear netted an 11.95 / 113 mph pass! FINALLY.

I had a blast the past few days with some great people. The Omaha crew made it down there and back without many issues. In classic @hiboy32 fashion, Kevin Bacon came cruising into the track in his '32 5-window just as all the racing was done and we were packing up. He had some ignition issues, but did make it to Joplin and back home.

Huge thanks to everyone that puts the time and work in to make the HAMB Drags happen!
It was great to visit with old friends and meet some new ones, as well.

Stopped by the track on Friday afternoon and Jason ran to get a replacement coil-over bolt for Lowell's '40. One broke on a nearby rough road.

It was very cool to finally meet you in person, Nick! Your roadster is uber bitchen! I wish I could have seen it run, but being in the same class prevented that.

Congratulations Malcolm, that really feels good, doesn't it! I chased a 10 second time slip for an entire season once, went 11.03 on the very first pass of the season. Figured "hell, three hundredths off on the first pass, I'll have this by the end of the day!" Fat chance, finally went a 10.98 the following Sept!

 

Congrats on having an 11 second car, always makes you feel great to get what you been searching for.
