  1. DSCF5525.JPG DSCF5526.JPG DSCF5589.JPG DSCF5590.JPG DSCF5596.JPG i have always thought ALL of the manufacturers got it "right" in 1937. art deco at it's peak. the cars are still small and lean and packed with artful touches.
here are a few examples and maybe we could post examples of the cars and their details.

Love the Chevy front end that year. Nervy for them to have the commercial, truck and cars share the same grill design....but with good sense. Beautiful IMHO.
'37 Ford Commercial grill sure got some play on the hot rod scene.

    Thanks for posting!

I had a '37 Packard several years ago. I removed the (original?) floor mats before I sold it and am using them in my Edsel now....

That studebaker is one sweet pickup.

Here's a 37 Studebaker pickup a 78 year old friend of mine restored a few years ago. I have to agree 1937 was a good year for all auto makers. He did make his own skirts they are not original. Even the interior is awesome. Joe Gordon\'s 37 Studebaker 010.JPG 1937 studebaker_NEW.jpg

There's always an exception...:D I think the '37 Chevy coupe is one of the best looking cars of the thirties.

Despite what was said, these cars were never "ugly."
Even the Fordors. This was my first build. Gary

I'll probably take heat for this, but I think the Hood, headlight and fender treatment on the '37 Ford might be the best Ford ever did. Much more streamlined and smoother than the beloved 39/40.

  19. I've always thought the 37 Chev had the best looking front, and grill, and always wondered why the 37 Ford was not real popular, as the front was very nice too.

IMHO I think the Chrysler products 37 downfall is all their headlights are mounted too high, gives them a cartoonish look.

Well, they do have something in common with the cord, in that both cars were trying to push the technology forward at the the time, but airflows were fugly!,
