The biggest car show in the upper Midwest US (each cars gets a number - we saw a car at 12,058 today!) for anything '64 and older. Thought I'd share the stuff I shot today; there will be more since the show goes two more days! Full gallery here, but some teasers below.
Thanks for pictures Spent the day there yesterday Amazing show Back out today Sent from my SCH-R970 using H.A.M.B. mobile app
We use to go to the fairgrounds back in the 80's to the Street Rod Nationals. They would have 6,500 cars and the place was packed. Went there last year and there were over 12,500 cars at this show and it was great. One of the best places to have a car show there is. Thanks for the pictures
yeah it is strange. when they first started it was 59 and older. for some reason in the name of growing the show they changed it to 64 and older... because you know nothing says back to the fifties quite like a 63 falcon 4 door
Which 63 Falcon 4 door? The gray one with the mexican blanket seat cover or the white one with the mexican blanket seat cover AND astro turf carpet? All joking aside,if you can't find cars to enjoy looking at while at this show you are damn hard to please.
Maybe "back to the 50's" refers to the temperature and not the era? Tis Minuhhhsoda, after all... Thanks to anyone who posts pictures, much appreciated.
I guess to go back in time you have to pass through the years in reverse and they set the entrance guidelines at 64 much like the Hamb at 65. With this way of thinking it kinda makes sense...
Close to 90 degrees today and humid. It's pretty much always hot and sticky at BTT 50s. My understanding of the 1964 cutoff year is that was more or less the beginning of the muscle car and pony car era.
Thanks for the pics Spent fri and sat walking the fairgrounds. Yes a lot of sbc but nice to see hudsons, big chryslers, Cadillacs, and many others. Great weekend and thanks to all that work the show
due to work and stuff with the kids I only got to go saturday this year, but always one of my favorites of the year. There is so many cars its hard not to find something you like there
