    What he said!!!

  5. I've had a pile of our old pics scanned and I snuck all my old car show pics in the boxes when I've sent them off. I gave Mick a copy of all the old car show pics and he has been way better at resizing them and posting them that I have....obviously.

  7. LOL....I have it on hand, don't worry. I owe him a "favor" too since so many of me in that cool shorts and shirt outfit have been posted.

I remember the Ford from the little pages. I loved it then, but it looks much better in color! Note the round radiused wheel wells, back AND front.
Is that the same Ron Courtney of X-51 fame? What vision...truly a milestone custom! I didn't know he had built any thing else.

So, that must be the Madame Fe Fe clone I've read about, peaking from the garage!
Nearest thing to the X-51's fins. Must be something in the Pacific NW water.

  11. Madame Fi Fi clone would be awesome!
The question is, which version will it be?

  12. That's the one. You look way cooler in that one that I do in the ones I'm in. LOL I guess instead of "trying" to be cool back then I should have stuck with jeans and a t-shirt. Demonstration right there folks that the dork in me goes all the way to the bone. LOL

  15. Nice group of shots Straykat. Never seen the shoebox with the full fade flame job. Nice!
I know four doors are supposed to be "taboo", but I really dig the baby blue '54(?) Ford. I remember when building a car like that was cheap. Man I miss those days..........E

  23. Man the Copperhead was a cool build.

  24. Oh yeah! McPhail's Chevy ruled! I remember two things about that car. At the 20th when I first saw it in person, it almost looked like it glowed under the street lights. The top was beautifully subtle, and the bottom looked like it was made out of purple copper or brass. Amazing!
The other was when he left the host hotel on Friday evening around supper time. I remember watching it drive away with the pipes singing. Dennis went up the on-ramp to get on the highway and then he really opened it up. Me and the guys that went to the show together all started chattering about how cool it was when Charlie told us to pipe down and listen. We all hushed up and you could hear the car go through the gears. When he finally reached high gear you could still hear it off in the distance. When the sound finally faded away, Charlie joked, "Now wasn't that worth quieting down for?" I told him "Definitely!"
That is a sound I'll never forget. Inlines are so sweet..........E

Yes that is the X-51 Ron Courtney, apparently they built both cars at about the same time.
and yes that is the Madam fi fi clone, it's going to be the pearl white version
