got this car at an auction for a good price and was going to just flip it. after a lot of low ball offers I decided I was tired of the s 10 frame builds.( ive done 2 ) and was going to do a traditional hot rod. im a 43 year old retired iron worker fabricator and welder and now work for an engineering firm. as the title says tis was started 11 weeks ago and was/ is being done in my garage with most of the parts hand made by me and the help of bud light. not looking for advise or any negative comments. just thought I would sh
I to am building a 30' Chrysler coupe. I took 3" out of the lid & 4" out of the doors. Looks better with the extra 1" taken out of the doors, more uniform looking. The side glass/opening is to tall in my opinion. Mines also channel so I didn't want to take a lot out of the lid.
Nice car! was something wrong with the chrysler chassis or did you just want to build the frame yourself?
The cost difference between buying plate to box it out and buying tube plus all the labor. It was more cost effective to build a now frame so I could make it the way I wanted
If you go under "My albums" and "club members cars" I have one in there. not a real good pic. I have more pics somewhere, I'm just not a big picture post guy! I haven't worked on it in over a year. I bought out my business partner so I'm in the process of moving into another shop and trying to get that situated, no time to work on it hopefully soon though!
