Someone will know for sure, but Art Morrison lists their frames as fitting 1949-1954 Chevy.

If the running gear is with it, you will also be getting a brake upgrade, and better highway gears
(unless your Fleetline is a Powerglide).

  3. Should be fine but some 54 frames are wider over the rear axle but a 1/2 inch or so. could make lining up body mounts tough. The trans crossmember changes slightly in 53 but still functionall the same. if it has the steering box and everything on it, that will get you better brakes, a steering box with better bearings and uprights that have 1/2 more drop in them than yours. snag that frame build the whole thing then swap your body on to it. much easier to do all the brake lines, fuel lines and such with the body off.

A 51 frame did't have engine/frame mount towers; that began in 52. The 51 and earlier engines were mounted at the front, 52-54 were side mounted. Are you certain about someone torching them off? The 49-54 frames will swap, with some minor differences (we won't consider the convertible frame here); the biggest difference is in the hardtop frames. They were reinforced from the factory, so a hardtop frame would be not only usable, but stronger. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
