Found it in a showroom 20 miles away. Rats Glass. Ready to start building. Been collecting for about 3 years now. Just obtained a good running 390 Caddilac engine. I have FOUR intakes to choose from. 3 carb Edelbrock, 6 carb with Rochesters and one with Stromberg 48's. Also a four in a row Stromberg 48's. My own billet valley cover. RARE Nance magnesium wheels. 6 pin 6 kidney bean holes. 15 X 4.5 and 16 X 9.5. NOS Halibrand spinners. Sprint car knock offs front and rear. Halibrand 301 quickchange. American La France headlights, cost $100.00. 32 Studebaker grille shell. Very art deco. Honestly you will just screw it up. I will pick up all that junk tomorrow sometime to help you out.:D

This is going to be one very good looking car. Can't wait to see the build and ultimately the car finished.

Those American LaFrance headlights are really cool. I'm a retired firefighter and have never seen a set like that on an early LaFrance, beautiful!!! Antique fire apparatus usually has something we can use when building such as gauge panels and lights, etc.

Watching! Just bought a Glass T roadster and wondering how to do the subframe. My parts for the build aren't nearly as nice as yours though!!! :D

Ya learn something new every day! I didn't know Nance had ventured into the wheel business.

I had a set of his aluminum hubs on the three inch tapered rear axle that was in my sprinter.

Electroline headlights. They made tail lights and fog lights that kind of match. Use electroline to search on that auction site. They can be bit pricey but sometimes they slip by.

I see an X Shift case. Really rare and neat. I wanted one way back when.

Are you building your avatar? If so, are you fabricating your own track nose?

Frames, I hope you know how lucky you are. Someone on this site said that your headlights are from a company called Electroline. Just for fun I checked E-Bay and there is a set of your headlights on it for $3000. Three thousand freakin dollars!!!

Nice score, all the Nance wheels, I have ever seen were like your rears, including a set I have, don't recall seeing any of the reinforced ones like your fronts. Very neat acquisition.

  22. YA, They bring big ass $$$ when ever you see a set for sale. A couple years ago I seen a set bring 4,500.00 on fee bay. I have a set on my 3 window and everyone asks about them. They are off a 1931 LaFrance fire truck.

FATHERS DAY 008.JPG FATHERS DAY 016.JPG FATHERS DAY 018.JPG FATHERS DAY 019.JPG I have been concentrating on my 27 track roadster build but still found time [also see my FORD IN A FORD thread] to come up with some stuff for the build. A NOS aluminum flywheel, Ford aluminum bell housing [Wilcap has the adapter] and best of all the 1986 F150 aluminum 3 speed plus 4th overdrive transmission. I really like the shifter location and all syncromesh gears.

I'm watching and waiting for the build thread on this one! Had an OT '79 Mustang, with what I think was the same trans as that trans, except the case is set up with the shifter further back. I put over 200K on it before the trans finally wouldn't stay in 4th OD, just popped out once in awhile. Ratio spread not too good, with a wide spead between intermediate gears, but OK otherwise. Replaced with a T5, much better ratio spread, but shft lever location prolly too far to rear for this application.

Finally got around to sending a blueprint to Johns Industries to make the 6 hole axles. Talk about lightening fast service and flawless fit!!!. Very reasonable price too. 6 PIN--BLUEPRINT 002.JPG 6 PIN--BLUEPRINT 003.JPG 6 PIN--BLUEPRINT 006.JPG 6 PIN--BLUEPRINT 007.JPG
