Has anyone installed or have pics of seats installed in a shoebox with a raised transmission tunnel. I want to use my original seats but tunnel (mid section) of seats will need to be cut out and raised . Maybe with an armrest made into it? If I cut it out to fit and leave it as a seat in the middle it will have little to no suspension/ support. May as well have an armrest? Any help would be great guys! Thanks
Not sure if this will help, but take a look at Finrodder's build. He notched his back seat and I know at somepoint through the thread he was working on the front seat. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/my-51-shoebox-build-thread.498126/page-20
Well, the front seat isnt done yet.One guy was suppose to bend some pipe for me,i needed that for the front seat frame notching.I waited those pipes for a while and when i got them back the bend job wasnt what i expected.I guess i'll start the seat job again soon.. There was some seat tech in the-rodsters build thread too: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...m-shoebox-project.506293/page-10#post-7576741
Does anyone know(or could some fellow shoeboxguy/gal measure it) how much there is suppose to be a gap between the front seat side skirts and floorpans? I am in the middle of seat frame notching work and knowing how much that gap is would help a lot. Thanks!
