I have a 61 Comet with a 65, 200 six in it, (project car), and know of a 71 Maverick being parted out. What parts might be useful to me off this vehicle, (suspension, drive train, wheels, anything)? Don't mind staying 4 lug!

What are your plans for the Comet? Are the hubs 4 lug on the Maverick? What motor, trans? If it was me, I'd grab all the suspension and rear end for sure. It should be an 8" even if it's 4 bolt. The stock Maverick wheels are 14" and are wider than the Comet. They should still fit in stock Comet wheel wells.

Maverick will have a 7 main bearing 200 and a C4. I think the 8" rear came along then too, but you'll have to verify that . Could have still been using the small integral rear still in 71.

Will a 65 model 200 engine bolt to a c4 trans? Mine has a 2 speed in it now, would love that extra gear! Also is the Maverick rear axle the correct width for my Comet? Plan to go look at the car this weekend.

Im thinking the maverick has one of the narrowest rear ends. If your not going to use it it would be good trading stock.
