My guess is '32 ford--has the leaned back shift tower, and a "B" serial number. I was wrong once.

32 shift top. Look at the number stamped above your duck tape it will tell you the year of the case. 18-001 to 18-203,126 is 32

Only 32's had the shifter top cover with the mounts for bolting the e-brake handle to. Also 32's didn't have a square inspection plate hole in the top of the case in front of the shifter. Therefore you have a 32 topcover and case. What gears are inside are yet to be determined.

Thanks for reply, I tried to see the area above The duck tape for numbers but I did not see any.

B 7222 is the part number ('32 correct) for the main casting of the shifter. It's the only year with lugs for brake, so is '32 for sure. Serial as noted should be above the tape...but is engine one originally sold in Europe? Most countries there required Ford to stamp serial on engine block (done on the manifold face of block). I do not know if Ford also stamped the trans in the usual USA way. '32 V8 engine would be either USA or Canadian built, there were no other V8 plants until later.
Any gears will go into a '32 case, but that shifter top will only work properly with '32-5 gears unless pretty thoroughly modified.

I do not know the origin of the engine, the chassis is danish, but engine has been rebuild here in Finland and should be 1937.
