  3. The wife shared this one with me. Smitty's Better Burger in my home town, in business since 1956.

Old film showing Melbourne, Victoria back in the late 20's or early 30's by the looks.
Most of the iconic buildings shown are still there. Good old Melbourne - some may say they are very conservative but they have kept most of their old landmark buildings.

A little OT - early 70's Australian Chrysler Valiant Charger.
105" wheelbase IIRC - the racing version had a 265 ci Hemi 6 cyl which made around 300 bhp using triple 2 bbl Weber carbs and was quick.
I never had one but always admired them.
The marketing guys thought they'd start a snappy ad campaign with the tagline 'Hey Charger'.
    It did catch on.

Good morning friends, time does not posted anything in this privileged space, because now working in a Hyundai dealership and really, free time is a luxury item for me. I was looking for the "Art Archive" section because
like many of the works exhibited in it, and casually I came across this section. Here is my contribution
although not a picture of the time (it was hit yesterday), it really is amazing. The network ATLANTIC gas stations, was also acquired in the 80s in Brazil, the IPIRANGA station network and to the surprise of all,
there is still a network station IPIRANGA operating in the city of Alvorada (metropolitan region of Porto Alegre), with all Layout ATLANTIC, in the year 2016 !!! Here are the pictures. And sorry if this would not be the relevant section, but I thought at least curious situation. Hugs.

(Another video (I almost never post a video and today it's 3!))
This one is of Box Hill in Victoria, with most of the motion picture taken in the 60's. I grew up in Box Hill and I really enjoyed seeing Box Hill Primary School, where I went, and Box Hill High School, where I went, and Box Hill Post Office, where I had a part-time job after school in high school.
Box Hill Hospital is featured - I was born there in 1957, a year after it was opened, and Box Hill Oval, where I played some football for a little while.
Lots of other places that featured in my everyday life for many years growing up.
I feel lucky that someone took the film back then and has now edited it and posted it for people to see.
    I hope you enjoy it.

Why would the "press" corps pose the car so she appears to be going the wrong way? Gary

used these spinning (dynamic) balancers a lot during my days at Rambler dealer shops....we never used the strobe light shown in the lower corner of pic...we were taught to put our foreheads on the fender, then tune out the vibes with the red and green anodized rings on the center....sort of dangerous to use as a loose weight or overlooked piece of gravel could become a projectile, but balanced entire assembly, wheel brake drum, etc...!!!!
