    very cool.

You could also mill the carb flanges flat, i did it to a flathead 4x2 i got, i milled the carb bases all flat and re drilled the bolt patterns strait and heli-coiled them to be safe, but its a way les desirable intake.

I ended up finding a 2x2 y-block intake, could be a Tawco, a Klienig or a Thomas, (dago 88 posted the names as possibilities for the manufacturer) i took it to the bridgeport and milled the carb flanges flat for street use.

I also ended up with the elusive and so far only one known to exist Horne Y-block intake

I like the 2x2 one, I'd be interested in one of those if ever reproduced.

  4. ^^^^^^^ this is my unicorn. I'd maybe do some crazy things to land one. But you have the only one..... dun dun dun...

I've been told the Lincoln 2X2 is fairly rare (one year only maybe)

This is one we rescued from a barn that was about to be demo'd.

I also wondered how this would run progressively if possible instead of using both full time.

Unibodyguy, the carbs that go on the 2x2 are pretty small cfms, with such better gas and ignition systems you wont have any problem with them running strait lingage on an overhead motor.

As a long time y block guy, it warms my heart to see this old thread come back with new info. It was lonely in '67 with my first one, and not much better in '99 with my first with a Paxton SN. Keep it up guys.

Rockets HRG....Looks like a boat intake. Carb angle is wrong...looks backwards. But that can be fixed.
