    City: Cornelius

    State: North Carolina
    Price: 18,500.00
Car is currently on E**Y, the asking price I have here is the reserve on E**Y. Let's talk! 2-14-2016 446.jpg

This will be one of the better Ford Coupes rolling down the road for someone, these '38 Standard Coupes are starting to get popular! Great Art Deco Look to the front end.

1938 Ford Standard Coupe. This Coupe is really close to running and driving. Not much left to do to be able to get it on the road, unless you want to go farther and do a complete interior. Needs wiring, starter and Generator/Alternator. I have everything for the car except glass. Have all garnish moldings original to the car, nice split bench seat not installed. I have three right rear fenders for it too, one a NOS, another original to the car that has been dented, and a fiberglass one. All rear fenders are included. I have all of the stainless trim for the grill, just missing the doors and quarter panel stainless. I was going to run it without any of it on.

The frame is great, 4" super bell dropped front axle, rear cross member has been dropped 4", '40 front Juice backing plates, split wishbones, lowered front and rear posies springs, rear end is out of a '49 Lincoln and has the big Lincoln brakes, rear backing plates need rebuilding. Original dash with nice chrome glove box with locking key. Dash needs gauges. 1940 Steering wheel included. Brand new dual master cylinder with power booster. steel brake lines ran along the inner frame rails. New "Tanks" gas tank with steel gas line run to the flathead. front and rear bumpers with irons included. New Firestone bias ply 7.50 rears & 425 fronts I have so many parts that come with this sale, it is way too much to list.

Car was painted with a black rust inhibitor that looks like an old lacquer job from way back, looks great! This car is not perfect and I was not trying to build a show car, this car was being built to drive and have fun with, not polish and look at in the garage. The rear tailpan has a small crack that will need to be corrected, but should be really easy.

Engine: 1937 21 Stud Flathead that came out of a running 1932 coupe, has all new gaskets, lightened flywheel, RARE HEXAGON INTAKE AND AIR CLEANER that are polished, with two rebuilt 97 stromberg's by Max. Heads are Ford Aluminum made in Canada (cheater heads). Harmon & Collins crab Distributor. Transmission is a T-5 Five speed. Driveshaft ready to install. Radiator has been pressure tested and ready to go. Rear end needs new gasket and fluid. Wheels are '40 Ford 16x4's, powder coated and striped.

Custom Stainless Steel Exhaust Headers that are killer, they will make this flathead sound great!

The pictures should explain a lot, but please do not hesitate to ask questions. This will be a great Hot Rod when complete!

Clear North Carolina Title in my name too. It is registered and insured.

I have a lot more into this than the reserve, this is a great deal! deposit of $1,000.00 due using paypal. Cash, bank transfer, cashier's check, etc. for the balance before the car is to be picked up, or we can do this in person. No personal checks. Buyer sets up all Shipping and transporting, I will help load the car and do what I can to help, no problem. Sold as-is with no warranties.
