This is a great thread. Lots of tips on putting dismembered bodies back together, success stories from people who started with worse junk than you have, projects that took many years and are still not done. It knocks the crap out of my lame excuses, but most of all it is inspiring to see what these great rods were built from.
I know this was not the rule but I'm posting my ever growing pile of pieces hoping to start a build thread soon. My efforts so far have been toward building the components so they will be serviceable when assembled. It's a '26 Chevy roadster.

I have pieced together a 28 roadster body over time, it's really rough but that's the only way I can afford to do it. This thread is great! Gives me hope.

  13. my 34 started out as a rolling chassis with a home made woodie body..it was based on a Buick {I think} cowl
    34ford11_30_07ontrailer.jpg
Used that chassis and bought a roached 34 5 window race car body....ended up using nothing but the top off it and sourced body parts from all over the US to build this body...chopped 3.5 inches.
Have run the new engine [Pontiac 370] but haven't driven it yet.

I scanned just about all of my build photos... Hopefully soon I'll have a chance to start a thread.

I found the front 1/2 here on the HAMB a few years ago...then it took me 3 more years to find a back 1/2...couldn't have found a more perfect 'match'. I love 'Frankenstein' cars. 100_4129.JPG now i need a frame...anybody? 100_4138.JPG 100_4359.JPG

Don't let this coupe fool you into thinking its a creme puff. You can't really tell by the pictures but a tree fell on it at some point.

Austin Speed Shop/Jesse James did that car for Paul Sr from Orange County Choppers. I have seen pics of it finished . I like it. Have yet to see the tv show where they built it. outlaw garage I think.

  26. Bobbleed built it at the Austin Speedshop.... (ASS) While Jesse fiddled with his bike build.

When Jesse can actually build a decent looking car , and do it from scrap like this stuff .... He's welcome to post it on this thread ....until then I'd rather not hear about him ....same applies to tv or any other " tv heros"

My guess is most people interested / contributing to this thread feel the same
