That's gotta be about the first shifter kart ever built, I raced them in the early eighties.
The Villiers bike engine was British, a friend of mine had a dirt kart with a direct drive Villiers engine (no gearbox).

 

Curb really gives the illusion of car being very low or girls are really heavy!

On the Milwaukee river, a bunch of Plymouths (written on the side windows of the foreground cars) being offloaded from the ship into Hansen Storage bldg. in Milwaukee. I believe (not positive) the bldg. still stood on Erie St. until being torn down for Hansen landing/Harborfront Condos or the location could be where the newer boat storage facility (also has the Hansen name) on the west side of the river.

I'm trying to find out if Green Acres Dragway was ever opened for racing in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. It was anticipated that it would be open for racing in late summer 1971. You can see what is left of it on Google Earth just west of Green Acres Road.
