Need help again: Got all the pieces of my 8BA Merc, all good til I layed the crank in. The center cap just does not feel exact right. The experts say the cap insert tabs go on the SAME side as the block insert tabs. If so, that means my center cap casting numbers are upside down from the end caps. It does not drop into place as comfortably facing that way, any opinions? Have not put any torque on anything yet. ALSO, all six bolts are not identical, or I am missing two bolts. 4 bolts are identical, the last two have a divot in the head, a hollowed out top. Opinions? Pretty sure I have the correct cap in front not positive what to think about center....maybe torque it some and see if all is free??

Front and middle main caps are similar and you might be mixing them up. The holes on the front cap are closer to one side of the cap.
